A hand-knotted Turkish Çal wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of reds, ochre and green. The central lozenge is enclosed by stepped spandrels, each having with a star motif. Framing the field is a main flowering vine border, along with three other floral guard borders including a carnation meander. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
