Gorham "Cromwell" Sterling Silver Flatware with Chest

A forty-piece collection of sterling silver flatware in the Cromwell pattern by Gorham, designed by William C. Codman and first introduced in 1900. The collection includes twelve dinner forks, fifteen teaspoons, one pierced serving spoon, and twelve dinner knives with stainless steel blades. Each piece features a monogrammed handle with scrolling trim and a shell motif terminal, with most hallmarked to their underside and addtionally marked ‘Sterling Patent 1900’. The flatware is presented in a wooden silverware chest by Eureka with brown Pacific Silvercloth lining. These sterling utensils, excluding the hollow handled knives, have a total approximate weight of 41.645 ozt.
