Nephrite Jade

A Chinese Ming dynasty (1368-1644) carved nephrite jade cat with incised facial detailing alluding to the feline’s personality. The nephrite jade has nice variations in color which the carver has seemingly used to his advantage, being lighter at the cat’s back and darker at the feet and face.
