A large English chest, oak, 18th century and adapted. This rectangular top piece with beveled edges overhangs a carved border and frieze above two cabinet doors with recessed, carved panels flanked by reeded stiles. The cabinet doors open to a full width shelf. This piece terminates on ball feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
