A 1953 Dwight D. Eisenhower inaugural silver medal issued by Medallic Art Company. The obverse design (by Walker Hancock) features a bust of Eisenhower facing left with date ‘MCMLIII’ (1953) in ribbon below. The reverse design shows an American Eagle and inscription ‘Inaugurated President of the United States of America January 20 1953’ enclosed within wreath. Mintage: 872 (limited silver issue). Diameter: 70mm. Weight: approximately 177 grams.
