Antique Gimbaled Vertical Marine Barometer
Item Details
An antique gimbaled and mounted vertical marine barometer and thermometer. The ‘stick’ barometer/thermometer plates are mounted at the top in a hinged case which has a hook and eye closure. The brass plates measure air pressure inside and temperature on the inside of the door as it opens, on the right, listing “Freezing, Temperate, Sumr Heat’ and ‘Blood Heat’. It has the original brass mounting hardware and a brass cistern at the base. Dated to latter half 19th century to early 20th century; unlabeled.

- overall; patina to wood, light tarnish to brass. Not tested for accuracy. Must be removed from wall (two screws.)
