Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, indigo, ivory, powder blue, wheat, fern, rust, and walnut. The crimson colored lozenge field is grounded by ivory, and it features four star pendant medallions and rectilinear vine-work. Framing the field is a main unresolved indigo grounded stylized herati border, as well as a barber pole minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
