Antique Carved Wood Aneroid Barometer ca. 1885

Item Details

An antique banjo style weather station in carved wooden housing. The piece includes a thermometer with both Fahrenheit and Celsius markings; and an aneroid barometer marked with patent number 16538, dating the barometer to ca. 1885. They are presented in an ornately carved Victorian style housing finished with a white wash.

Condition

- white wash finish to the wood, may not be original finish; bezel is askew on barometer; oxidation to the metal; finish wear to the markings on the thermometer and barometer.
