Item Details
A hand-knotted Northwest Persian wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, wine, cranberry, ochre, ivory, and burnt orange. The indigo colored field features three rectilinear medallions infilled with a central star motif, and accompanied by rosette and animal head motifs. Framing the field is a main quatrefoil designed border, along with guard borders patterned with guls. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
