A mid 20th-century gouache illustration on paperboard by listed American illustrator Al Muenchen (1917 – 1975). Portrayed in green hues, this work features a couple in a fishing boat tossed by tumultuous rapids. Signed ‘Al Muenchen’ to the lower right, the work is presented under glass with off-white matting and housed in a simple wood frame. A metal plate with the artist’s name is affixed to the lower center of the frame.

Condition

- minor toning and stains throughout mat; some residue scattered throughout glass; some wear in frame includes stains, scratches, and finish loss scattered throughout.
