An acrylic painting on canvas board by American artist Waite C. Hoyt (1899-1984) titled Fisher’s Net. The work depicts a fishing harbor with nets draping over the pier. Waite is known as a baseball ‘Hall of Fame’ pitcher for the New York Yankees. He retired from playing and started a career in broadcasting, becoming the voice of the Cincinnati Reds. The piece is signed to the lower right and presented in a green and gold tone frame.

- light soiling to canvas; staining and foxing to fabric liner; slight gaps between board and liner; nicks to edges and corners of frame; surface wear to frame.
