A vintage, hand knotted Persian Mashad room size rug signed by ‘Haghighi’ This wool rug features a center medallion and floral motifs on a lozenge shaped field in a palette of scarlet, orange, blues, pink, green, gold and cream. The field is bounded by spandrels and surrounded by a compound floral border with cotton warp fringe to the far ends, and it is signed within the minor border at one end. The rug is unmarked.
