An untitled relief print on illustration board by an unknown artist and Cincinnati-based artist Robert Bolubasz (20th/21st century), created in 2016. This work features spindly abstract structures rendered in dark green ink against a white ground. Unsigned, the work is not mounted and remains unframed.

Intricate line work and text characterize Robert Bolubasz’s drawings. Using pencil on paper to weave a network of intersections, he places the names of friends, family members, movies, music and objects he values at the cross roads of an imbroglio of jagged linear elements. This mesh, part territory, part mathematical equation, transforms into a personal map, a landscape of his preferences and relationships. Bolubasz creates a terrain of his psychological territory. He repeatedly folds and unfolds the work, transforming it into object: worn and used, compartmentalized and revisited for revision in topography or as reference to nowhere.
