Item Details
An antique oil parlor lamp featuring a cast metal body and supports embellished with a foliate and scroll motif. The two piece oil reservoir is embossed shells and acanthus leaves in green glazed ceramic with a tin lining, while the frosted glass shade has a metal frame and pale yellow to peach color to the top of the ruffled chimney. To each side is a cast metal support detail with figural and dragon elements. The shade is highlighted with floral and foliate printed cartouches of flower bouquets in purple and green. It rests on a raised, cast metal base, and is marked ‘MC’.
