A vintage hand-knotted Indo-Persian Herati wool area rug. The rug has a diamond-shaped light blue central medallion on a large navy field densely populated by herati and stylized blossoms with cream-colored corner spandrels in a palette of blue, navy, tan, cream, khaki, rose, and dark peach. The center field is wrapped with a primary peach colored border and guard borders of repeating flowers and geometrics. The rug is finished with overcast edges and a short natural warp fringe.
