1903 Thomas Edison Trademarked "Edison Standard" Phonograph
Item Details
A 1903 Thomas Edison trademarked ‘Edison Standard’ phonograph. This antique phonograph was made and trademarked by Thomas Edison’s Orange, New Jersey-based company in 1903 and features a wooden case with a removable domed lid. The phonograph has a large detachable metal horn which is supported by a collapsible metal stand. The stand attaches to a chain along the side of the horn and has a rotating rod to adjust the direction of the horn. The phonograph is marked ‘Thomas A. Edison, et al’ on a metal cartouche to the interior.
