Eugenio Pattarino Hand-Painted St. Luke Wall-Hanging Sculpture

A tin-glazed earthenware sculpture of the Evangelist St. Luke attributed to listed sculptor Eugenio Pattarino (1885-1971). This work is painted with polychrome enamels and gilding and depicts the full figure of St. Luke with an ox to his side. The figure has a white glaze to his limbs and face, the molded details simply but thoughtfully detailed. This work is signed “Prof. E. Patterino, Italy 42”.
