A hand-knotted Shahsavan wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of cranberry, indigo, soft red, salmon, emerald, and cobalt. The cranberry field has a large lozenge over a salmon ground with crenelated edges, while featuring a hexagonal pendant medallion. The field also features large curled leaf forms near each end, as well as geometrically designed floral motifs. Framing the field is a main soft red grounded chained boteh border, as well as S patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
