A Charles Apt signed printer’s proof serigraph titled Dreams. The work depicts a young woman, dressed in blue, sitting on a bed in a well appointed room. The room is decorated with pink curtains, floral wallpaper, fine art, flowers, and vases. The work is signed at lower right, and is numbered PP 3/25 at lower left. The work is presented behind glass with brown mat and gold tone composite wood frame. Hanging wire and COA present on verso. Born in New York City, Apt is known for his realist style and his paintings of horse races and landscapes. An art educator as well as an artist, Apt taught at the Art Students’ League of New York and at the National Academy of Design. Apt studied art at Pratt Institute.
