A selection of two antique folding fans with hand-painted decoration. Included is a fan with intricately carved and pierced mother of pearl sticks in a floral motif; featuring an outdoor scene with people and foliate decorations, including gilt lattice and scroll motifs to the front and a courting scene, gilt leaf and garland to the back. Also, a fan with gilt accented bone sticks and wide cream color leaves showcasing a courting and woodland scene to the front and ribbon and flowering botanicals to the back, including an illegible signature to the edge of one of the leaves.
