An antique Gilbert adamantine pillar mantel clock. This clock has a black lacquered faux stone finish wooden case accented with fluted adamantine columns with brass Corinthian style caps and bases, and featuring a molded crown and base rising on scrolled metal feet. The metal clock face is housed behind a glass hinged door set in a brass toned bezel, displaying black Arabic numbers, spade tipped hands, two key arbors, and a third for speed. It is marked with a ‘G’, and ‘Made in the United States of America, by Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn.’. It has a an eight day time and strike movement with chimes on the half,and hour, and gongs on the quarter. There is a key and pendulum included.
