A Towle George II style monogrammed sterling silver footed bowl for Frank Herschede. The bowl is of a tapered and ribbed ovoid form with a scalloped ribbed edge and four paw feet with foliate tops. The bowl is decorated to the front with a beautiful engraved script ‘H’ monogram. The bowl is marked to the verso with the Towle mark, ‘Sterling Frank Herschede 4878 TE’. Total approximate weight of bowl is 6.895 ozt.
