Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of ivory, madder red, indigo, goldenrod, saffron, carnation, apricot, powder blue, sage, and walnut. The ivory colored field begins with a lobed pendant medallion enclosed by layered spandrels, while featuring an ornate floral design throughout. Framing the field is a stylized herati border with added blooms, as well as a pair of carnation meander guard borders, and minor meandering minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
