An Ethan Allen Hitchcock style rocking chair. This Boston Rocker features a shaped crest rail over stiles and thin spindles. The concave seat, flanked by arms on spindle supports which rise on turned legs are joined by stretchers. The rocking chair is painted black throughout with stenciled fruit and other ornaments to the crest rail and gold accents to the legs and stretchers
