A bronze shield wall sculpture titled Beyond Belief by master metal finisher and bronze foundry owner Grant Standard (20th/21st century). Cast in the shape of a stretched leather shield, this bronze sculpture features low relief motifs in a circular design, representing the celestial cycle and nine world religions. The religious motifs featured include the Bahá’í nine-pointed star, the Christian cross, the Hindu Om, the Taoist Yin-Yang, the Sufi Heart and Wings, the Jewish Star of David, the Islamic Crescent Moon and Star, the indigenous medicine wheel, and the Buddhist Dharmachakra. The work remains unsigned and hanging wire is affixed to the verso.
