A hand-knotted Persian Ardekan Kashan wool area rug. This room-sized rug features a central diamond medallion in shades of sage and cream with midnight blue to the outside within a floral accented deep scarlet field. The compound corner spandrels echo the color scheme of the central medallion. The field is surrounded by a principally dark blue herati border within guard borders of cream and sage. The rug is finished with cotton warp fringe and overcast selvedges.
