A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This room-sized rug features a diamond medallion in shades of blue, cream, and navy within a floral-accented red field. The spandrels echo the color scheme of the central medallion. The field is surrounded by a principally dark blue herati border within guard borders of cream, red and light blue. The rug is finished with cotton warp fringe and overcast selvedges.
