Chinese Wood and Bowenite Jewelry Chest

Item Details

A Chinese wood and bowenite jewelry chest. The chest features a pair of doors to front adorned with carved and pierced bowenite panels. The doors open to expose four fabric lined drawers for jewelry storage. Beneath the doors is a drawer with oval bowenite details and brass pull. It is divided with a removable fabric lined tray. The dove tail constructed chest also has a pair of carved pierced medallions to each side. The box has a brass handle to the top and is decorated with incised brass corners and trim throughout. The jewelry chest is complete with traditional lock and key.
