1953 Rookwood Pottery Vase

Item Details

A 1953 Rookwood pottery long neck vase in wine madder colored glaze with a decorative graphic pattern to the sides of the rounded base resembling the style of the Art Deco and early modern period of the early 20th century. The ball shaped vessel rests on a base foot and extends up through a narrow neck that flares out at the open rim. Marked to the verso with the traditional reverse ‘RP’ Rookwood symbol and “LIII 7075”. The vase is also marked with an ‘X’, indicating it is a second.
