Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Meshkin carpet runner, Qazvin Province, Iran. This wool pile rug features eleven alternating geometric medallions with stylized hooked elements and stylized florals in a sombre palette of brick red, salmon, mocha brown and shades of blue and ivory down the center black field. The rug displays four borders, being two floral meander bands in complementary colors, with repeating geometric and barber pole patterns in ivory, blue, red, and sage green. It is finished with double overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
