1928 Sarah Toohey Rookwood Pottery Tray
Item Details
A 1928 Rookwood Pottery tray designed by Sarah Toohey. The tray is in a diamond form with raised lip in a gloss black glaze. The inside of the tray is decorated with reversed images of a red-haired monarch with golden crown and green and cream chevron-patterned top with white ring collar. The tray is marked with the Rookwood flame double R logo marked pressed to underside of base as well as production number 6049 and Roman numerals ‘XXVIII’ (1928), along with Toohey’s artist monogram.
