1924 Edward Diers Rookwood Pottery Scenic Vellum Vase

Item Details

A 1924 Rookwood Pottery scenic vellum vase designed by Edward Diers. The vase is in an elongated urn shape with small raised neck, rounded shoulder and slightly flared flush base. The vellum glazed vase is in a pale cream matte glaze gradated to cobalt blue to the top and aqua blue to the base. The vase is decorated with blue and cream trees and a lake landscape, and glazed to the inside with a cobalt blue glaze. The vase is marked with the Rookwood flame double R logo marked pressed to underside of base as well as model number 1664D and Roman numerals ‘XXIV’ (1924), along with Edward Diers artist’s monogram.
