A hand-knotted Turkmen long rug. This wool rug features repeating geometric medallions with stylized floral forms against an open ground, in a color scheme of dark reds, ivory, burnt orange, pale blue, black, and cool green. It has geometric repeating borders with a stylized cup and leaf main motif, and ends in natural warp cotton fringe.
