A hand-knotted Persian Kashan carpet runner. This rug features a floral medallion with pendants against a deep blue field covered with palmettes, tendrils, and flowers on stems and branches, in hues of powder blue, ivory, pink, tangerine, crimson, tan, and burgundy. It has main border with a red ground and repeating floral forms, enclosed by minor stripes with meandering geometric patterns. Ends in short cotton warp fringe.
