Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A had-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a muted palette of wheat, gold, sage, walnut, slate blue, terracotta, olive, mocha, sky blue, and rust. The wheat hued field features a unique design of square panels with multiple lobed medallions throughout, along with floral, boteh, and cloud band forms. Framing the field is a main olive grounded border designed with flower filled cartouches and medallions that break over from the field. Floral meander guard borders also help frame the field. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a decoratively knotted wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
