A hand-knotted Chinese Aubusson-style wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of camel, slate blue, gold, ivory, rose, powder blue, sage, cranberry, olive, walnut, and mauve. The camel hued field is ornately designed beginning with a central medallion infilled with a bouquet of flowers enclosed by swags, wreaths, along with an array of floral arrangements, and vine-work. Framing the field is a slate blue grounded main border with a foliate designed curvilinear edge, and featuring a delicate flowering vine throughout. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
