Item Details

A large Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) cloisonné enamel charger. The charger displaying an auspicious phoenix to the center on an iridescent red field, surrounded by an ornate repetitive border in various blue and plum enamel. The reverse side in a scale pattern with blue enamel and a small hole drilled in the shallow foot.
