Vintage Lester Baby Grand Piano

A vintage baby grand piano by the Lester Piano Company (Philadelphia, founded in 1888, closed 1960). The piano has a mahogany cabinet with a deep, honey-stained finish accented with contrasting black painted trim and legs. The piano has a spruce sound board, lift top with prop, and retracting music stand. It is marked ‘Lester Piano Company Philadelphia & Lester PA’ to the interior.

Condition

- piano retains all keys and each plays correctly; sound board and strings are in good stable condition with no visible damage; pads have been replaced and appear to be in working order.
- mahogany case shows minor scratching and nicks to the finish; several chips and missing pieces to the black painted finishes on the trim and legs; light oval water ring to the lid.
- piano will need tuning, but appears to be in working order.
