A mixed media composition on ledger paper titled Courting in a Blanket by self-taught Lakota artist Evans Flammond, Sr. (20th/21st century), created in 2012. This work combines drawn, hand-written, and printed details, juxtaposing a ledger document for Horace Abbott with an illustration and description of courting in a blanket among Native Americans. The work is signed and dated to the lower right. The sheet is mounted on a black surface, presented under glass with red matting, and housed in a black composite wood frame.
