Vintage Louis XV Style Giltwood Side Chair with Needlepoint Seat

A vintage Louis XV style giltwood side chair. This chair features a wooden frame with gold tone paint finish and a shaped crest rail with decorative embellishments over an open back panel with mid and low rails. The chair includes a needlepoint seat rising on carved cabriole legs and terminating on whorl feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.

-two large cracks in the lower back rest; discolorations to needlepoint seat; chips, nicks, and scratches throughout; some splitting to top of backrest; loss of gold tone finish; fabric to underside is fraying and torn.
