A hand-knotted Bakhshayesh Heriz rug. The wool rug features four medallions to the center in a palette of ochre, black, sage, rust and pumpkin over an ivory field. The principal border has a meandering floral and vine motif in coordinating colors. The rug terminates with natural warp fringe to either end and is unmarked.
