A French carved jadeite and diamond embellished 900 silver compact, circa 1920, has a black enameled rectangular case with push closure and braided strap. An oval jadeite medallion in the center of the lid is pierced, carved with flowers and a bird , and is decoratively set with three rose cut diamonds. Inside houses a powder compartment and lipstick holder, along with a fitted mirror on the backside of the lid. French assay marks from Paris are present.
