A Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum exhibit sign that was used for the 1919 World Series display. This sign gives the statistics of the first game with the Reds winning 9-1. Baseball legend and folklore have it that when Morrie Rath, Cincinnati’s first batter got hit by Chicago White Sox pitcher, Eddie Cicotte, it was a sign to all that eight White Sox players and the involved gamblers that the ‘fix’ was ‘on’. A letter from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum will accompany this item.
