An original enamel on aluminum painting by Gibbs Rounsavall (Louisville, b. 1975) titled ‘All Is Right Here’, signed and dated 2008 to the verso. The burst of color radiates in various widths from a center point, extending over the edge of the metal canvas. An important detail considering the unframed piece is meant to float several inches from the wall, accomplished by armature at the back. Rounsavall is known for his starburst paintings which are a studies in the relationship of shape, line and color and while the symmetrical precision may suggest they are computer generated, they paintings are painted by hand.
