A hand-knotted Persian Ardekan Kashan area rug. This rug features a central floral medallion with shah abbasi palmettes, curled leaves, and floral branches, in a color palette of crimson, olive, midnight blue, azure, pale pink, ivory, lime green, and acorn. It has a main border with palmettes and meandering floral guard stripes. The rug is finished in cotton warp fringe and red overcast selvedges.
