Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, sapphire, ivory, salmon, teal, gold, walnut, and plum. The field features a garden panel design with alternating ground colors, while infilled with an array of rectilinear designed floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded rosette border, along with a boteh and a carnation meander guard border in complementary colors. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
