Item Details
An antique hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool area rug. It features a red lozenge field with a dark central floral medallion and corresponding pendants. The field is adorned with an arrangement of foliage, lanceolates, flowers, and other filler motifs. To the corners are ivory colored spandrels, each having a three-lobed flower at the center. Surrounding the field is a samovar border over dark blue with accent colors of red, green, ivory, and a lighter blue. Either end finishes with a cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
