A watercolor painting on paper titled Marrakesh by listed American artist (b. 1943), created in 1997. This work features a Morrocan market scene portrayed with vibrant colrs and loose brushstrokes. The work is signed, titled, and dated to the lower left. Without glass, it is presented with white matting and housed in a gold-tone gesso and wood frame.

Born in Arkansas, David Loren Bass studied at the University of Central Arkansas, the Aspen School of Contemporary Art, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Chapel Hill. With a degree in Art Education, he taught in the U.S. and in Morocco at the Defense Department’s Overseas School. His work has been collected by multiple institutions including the Mint Museum, the Fayetteville Museum of Art, and the Museum of the Big Bend, among others. He currently lives and works in New Mexico.
