Item Details

A pair of early 20th century cast brass and iron chenets, probably by the Matthai, Ingram & Co. Baltimore foundry. Each features ball top finials over a solid frieze depicting mirrored gazelles flanking a relief bust of a Grecian woman. THe scenes are surrounded by extended foliar embellishments, and each rests on a stepped base. A single log support extends from the back of each. one is marked ‘M.I.’ to the reverse, in cast.
