Chippendale Style Highboy

Item Details

A Chippendale style highboy with a mahogany finish. This chest features a broken arch pediment with an urn finial. The conforming case holds a row of three aligned drawers above a stack of three full-width drawers. The lower portion has a single full-width drawer over three aligned drawers all with brass-tone batwing back plates with bail handles. The piece is finished with a scrolled apron and rests on cabriole legs with pad feet. There are no apparent manufacturers marks. See also 18CIN476-128 for a matching low chest of drawers.
